Patrick and Brendan at the Swans

We are back at the Sydney Cricket Ground for the round 6 clash between the Swans and Richmond.

After the Swans' unexpected loss to Fremantle last week at Subiaco, the boys are hoping that the return of Magic Michael O'Loughlin and big bad Barry Hall along with the debut game for former Rugby World Cupper Mike Pyke who comes all the way from Victoria, Vancouver Island in Canada will return the Swans to the winners' circle!

The Waratah Supporters - Saturday 18 April

You can tell who they are supporting!

The Force eventually won the close match - 15-14.

Margaret and Brendan at the Sydney Football Stadium - Saturday 18 April

After watching an important win by the Sydney Swans over Carlton at the SCG this afternoon, we've now moved to the Sydney Football Stadium next door for the all-important Super 14 match between the Western Force and the Waratahs.

Go the Force!

Patrick, Peter and Brendan at the SCG - Saturday 18 April

All decked out in red and white for the big showdown against Judd, big bad Brendan and the rest of the Blues. After a relatively slow start in the first quarter when Carlton were very inaccurate in their kicking and led 3.5 (23) to 3.0 (18), the Swans took the lead in the second quarter as Carlton continued to squander chances. The Swans led at half-time 7.2 (44) to 3.12 (30) and ran out eventual winners 12.12 (84) to 9.13 (67). Fevola was contained to just one goal. Jarrod McVeigh and Eddie Betts shared the honours for both teams with three goals each.

Peter, Brendan and Ian at Sydney vs Carlton - Saturday 18 April

The first Saturday afternoon game at the SCG in a very long time to commemorate the centenary of the Carlton-Swans Grand Final.

About Me

A keen photographer and painter, I love stories. Stories of ordinary people and their lives. This intersects with my appreciation of all forms of architecture and the built environment. I am fascinated by what makes people tick, what makes up culture and how culture influences society. I love the diversity of Australia and celebrate our land of migrants over 60,000 years and still coming.
